Unprotected sex calms a woman more than sex when a condom is used?  Who the heck would even think to study this?  It reminds me of old psychological studies of women designed to address women’s “hysteria”- then thought to be a widespread problem. 

The head of a surgeons group then went ahead and wrote an editorial extolling the virtues of unprotected sex on women. Oy.

The only good in this story is that women surgeons seem to have risen up and used this incident as an opportunity to deal with more widespread sexism in the profession.  Sometimes a ridiculous incident like this becomes a tip of the iceberg that allows deeper issues to surface.  You go girls!
